New requirements and changes regarding Brexit

09. 18. 2019

Dear valued customer,
In the case of the UK leaving the EU without a deal (a so-called Hard Brexit) all trailers departing from or arriving into the UK after 23.00 hrs on the 31st October, will require either an Export or Import Customs Declaration. This means that Delamode Bulgaria Ltd. will require additional consignment information and documentation for all consignments originating from the EU.

To ensure we have time to test our new procedures and are both Brexit ready, we would like to start exchanging the following information on your/our pre-advice trailer manifests or EDI message as from Friday 30th August.
• Shipper
• Shipper EORI number
• UK Consignee
• UK Consignee EORI number
• Number and type of packaging
• Description of goods
• Gross weight
• Cubic size or measurements
• Incoterms
• Consignment value and currency
• Customs tariff code (Commodity code)
• Country of origin

In addition to the above, we will require a copy of the exporter’s commercial invoice.
By starting the exchange of the additional information from 30th August, we will be in a much better position to ensure the smoothest possible transition for all our customers post Brexit.
We will adopt similar procedures for UK to EU exports to ensure our partners have all the required information for each trailer.

If you have any specific quotations regarding our procedures for the movement of goods post Brexit, please feel free to contact us at:
